Settling in...

We are starting to get the hang of life in AZ.  We finally have the apartment all situated, and have been searching for jobs for Lauren.  I have been trying to stay as busy as possible so I don't go crazy with boredom.  I have been using the apartment complex gym and pool everyday.  We visited the school a few days ago, and found that the bookstore has some awesome gift items, so the family better get ready for some sweet MWU gear!  They even had a tooth-shaped coffee mug.  The reality that school is starting soon has started to set in, and I am getting a little nervous for the long 4 years ahead.  So far everybody keeps asking if it still feels like a vacation, or if it feels like home.  Both Lauren and I agree that the "vacation" feeling has worn off, and we feel like we are at home in our apartment.  To really make the experience feel more like home, we got our driver's licenses yesterday!  Its pretty amazing that they are so cheap!  For a license that will be valid until I am 65 it was only $25.  This is Lauren's first drivers license with the Myers last name : )

Although we both miss all
our family and friends back in Idaho, we feel like we are going to make some great friends here as well.  We are fortunate enough to have another couple from Boise going to Midwestern as well, so we have been making friends with them.  Tomorrow we will be attending a "dental mixer" at a nearby Mexican restaurant, so hopefully we will have more pictures and a new post on Friday.
